A Bit About Me
I am Shannon Leinani Boyle, an aquatic ecologist and senior leader in freshwater policy and aquatic ecosystem restoration. I have over a decade of experience advancing fish passage, dam removal, and habitat restoration initiatives through strategic engagement with federal and state agencies, Tribes, NGOs, philanthropic organizations, and the private sector.
I have a proven ability to translate technical conservation priorities into actionable resources, lead multi-sector coalitions, and align national programs with state and partner priorities to accelerate large-scale initiatives globally.
I hold a M.Sc. in Conservation Planning from the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara and a B.Sc. in Wildlife Biology from McGill University. My professional experience has ranged from the Chesapeake Bay to the mountains of Yellowstone National Park to the coasts of the Philippines. I work remotely from Baltimore, Maryland.
